We get this question a lot, and it’s a great one! Yes, our Laundry Pods are septic system safe! Our Laundry Pod membrane is made from a water-soluble material called Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) which dissolves and biodegrades within hours after reaching septic systems or wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring it doesn’t backup septic systems or accumulate in the environment. Can you use Allure Scents Liquid Laundry Detergent Pods in cold water?

Absolutely! Our Laundry Detergent Pods are good to use in both warm and cold water. In fact, we recommend using a cold water cycle since it uses less energy to heat the water.

If Allure Scents Pods are interchanged between washes, will the scents get mixed up?

Many of our customer’s interchange Laundry Sauce Liquid Laundry Detergent Pod scents based on household member preference, and we haven’t heard any concerns about the scents getting mixed up in a noticeable way. Any residual fragrance in the washing machine should not impact the fragrance performance of the next wash cycle.

How do I use the Liquid Laundry Detergent Pods?

1 Pod = 1 Regular Load (6 Pounds of laundry).

2 Pods for large loads or high capacity machines. Number of Pods depends on preferred scent strength and load size.

Dry hands before removing Pods from the package.

For front-loading machines, place liquid laundry detergent pod directly to the back of the bottom of the wash drum, not into the special compartment marked for detergent.

For regular top-loading machines, place liquid laundry detergent pod directly to the back of the bottom of the wash drum.

Add clothes and start the machine.

For maximum scent strength, line dry or tumble dry on low heat.

How should Allure Scents Liquid Detergent Pods be stored?

Liquid Laundry Detergent Pods should be stored in their original containers, with the lid closed and secured when not in use. Keep the pods out of the reach and sight of children and pets. Recommended storage conditions are 77°F and 50% relative humidity. Storing the laundry pods in humid areas can cause them to stick together. Laundry Pods should always be handled with dry hands.

Are Allure Scents Liquid Laundry Detergent Pods safe to use with silk or satin fabrics?

For delicate fabrics such as silk or satin, we recommend reading the wash instructions on your garment label since these types of fabrics can easily be damaged by the agitation of a washing machine and the ingredients used in harsh laundry detergents. Here are some tips for washing delicate fabrics:

• Hand Wash: It's best to hand wash silk and satin in cold water using a gentle detergent specifically designed for delicate fabrics.
• Use a Gentle Detergent: Choose a mild detergent that is formulated for delicate fabrics. There are detergents specifically made for silk and satin.
• Avoid Soaking: Do not soak silk or satin for long periods. A quick wash and rinse are sufficient.
• Do Not Wring: Gently squeeze out excess water without wringing the fabric to avoid damaging the fibers.
• Dry Flat: Lay the fabric flat on a clean towel to dry. Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources.

We proudly use a non-oxidizing detergent formula in our laundry detergent pods. Our non-oxidizing detergent is more gentle on fabrics, less likely to irritate sensitive skin, less likely to cause color fading, more environmentally friendly, and won't break down fabric fibers as aggressively as oxidizing detergents found in other brands.
